Load Combinations

1 · Input data

Every load combination of ASCE/SEI 7-22 Chapter 2 that applies to the load effects you enter, in strength design (Section 2.3) or allowable stress design (Section 2.4) — procedure ENG-2026-10-039. The page returns the complete set with the branch actually used for each combination, and the governing combination for the maximum and for the minimum separately, because the maximum is the design value for a strength check and the minimum is the value for net uplift, sliding and anchorage. This page combines loads; it does not produce them — ground snow, wind pressure, seismic base shear and the definition of E come from their own chapters. Every parameter below is required: enter 0 for a load that does not act, because 2.3.1 and 2.4.1 require that the effects of loads not acting be considered. Press Solve the load combinations when the card is complete — if anything is missing or malformed the page opens a pop-up naming each parameter and computes nothing; an input that is well-formed but outside Chapter 2 is refused with the clause that refuses it.

2 · Solution

No solution yet — complete every input in the card above and press Solve the load combinations. This card stays empty until a solution is computed, and it is emptied again the moment any input changes, so a displayed solution always belongs to the inputs on screen.
